Calm Launcher – Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

Calm Launcher (package com.launcherplus.app) is a minimalist home-screen app published by ThemeJunky. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your data. See also the Terms of Use.

Data stored on your device

The app saves its own settings on your phone: which apps you placed on the home screen, apps you hid or renamed, appearance preferences (font, text size, texture, accent), gesture choices, whether setup was completed, and whether Pro is active. This data stays on the device (and in your Android backup, if enabled) and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

Installed apps

To show the "All apps" list, to suggest favorites during setup and to open the apps you choose, Calm Launcher reads the list of launchable apps on the device, including apps in a work profile. The list is used only on the device. We never upload the names of your apps, your hidden or renamed apps, or your search text.

Analytics and crash reports

The app uses Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics and Remote Config) to understand how the launcher is used and to fix crashes. The data is limited to anonymous usage events (for example: setup completed, app list opened, a plan selected on the Pro screen), device model, Android version, app version, country and language, and crash stack traces. Firebase is configured without the advertising ID. We do not link this data to your name, phone number or email, and we do not sell it. Google's processing is described in the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase Privacy and Security.

Purchases

Calm Launcher Pro is sold as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase, through Google Play Billing. We never see your payment details. Purchase status is checked on the device through Google Play; no purchase token is sent to us.

Notifications

The "swipe down" gesture only asks Android to open the notification shade. The app does not read, store or send your notifications.

Companion apps

Settings may suggest our optional apps SMS Plus and Keyboard Plus from Google Play. Each has its own privacy policy. Calm Launcher only checks whether they are installed in order to open them.

Permissions

Internet and network state: Firebase and Google Play Billing. Vibrate: haptic feedback. Request delete packages: the "Uninstall" action, which always goes through the Android confirmation dialog. Query all packages: listing launchable apps, which is the core function of a launcher. Expand status bar: the swipe-down gesture.

Children

The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13.

Samsung Galaxy Store and Huawei AppGallery

This section applies to com.launcherplus.app.samsung on Samsung Galaxy Store and com.launcherplus.app.huawei on Huawei AppGallery. For these Android editions, it takes precedence over store-specific statements elsewhere on this page.

Purchases. Galaxy Store builds use Samsung In-App Purchase (Samsung Electronics); AppGallery builds use HUAWEI IAP (Huawei/Aspiegel, depending on your region). Google Play Billing is not used. The app receives product IDs, purchase tokens or identifiers, receipts/signatures and purchase status to verify ownership, unlock Premium and restore purchases. The store handles payment details; we do not receive your card details. See the Samsung Privacy Policy and Huawei Privacy Statement and the notices shown by your store. Manage purchases and any subscriptions in the store where you bought them; uninstalling does not cancel subscriptions.

Ads. These editions contain no advertising SDK: no AdMob, UMP, Petal Ads, Liftoff or Meta Audience Network.

Analytics and push. On Galaxy Store and AppGallery builds, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, Performance Monitoring, Cloud Messaging and App Check are not used. The Firebase analytics, crash-reporting and push descriptions elsewhere on this page do not apply to these editions.

Permissions and online services. Installed-app lists, layout and search text stay on the device. Internet and network-state permissions support native purchasing, ownership queries and direct store receipt checks. There is no app-operated purchase-verification backend. Contacts, call logs, camera and microphone are not read.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated date.
